"What the heck"

I know living in Utah this is a common phrase but I didn't know that I used it. Apparently I use it often enough that my two year old has started repeating it. I don't think it sounds bad when I say it but when he starts saying "what the heck is that mom" when we are at the grocery store it sounds like I am a really bad mom.

Jayce says it too. So maybe he picked it up from cousins. I don't think you say it that often.

I bet it is a little bit cute, right?! Plus if you were anywhere else, no one (I mean no one) would think twice about a kid saying heck. They'd think you must be a great parent to be teaching your kid good language. :-) So just imagine you live here and you'll feel better.

(In reality, probably no one where you live is judging you either. It's just you judging you.)

Wait till he says "crap" or something worse!! I catch myself saying things that sound okay coming from an adult, but when the kids start saying them it makes you rethink your word choice.
ps i love looking at everyones blogs, I think I could get addicted to this.

My three year old says that too, but here in the south there are much worse things that could come out of his mouth. Most people think it is really cute.

walker says darn and dangit. It sounds so cute! He says it in a mad voice and hits his leg with his fist. It's the cutest thing!

I want to hear Jake say that. I bet it's so cute. HA! Record it for me!
